Richard Anderson, SCIAD
Richard Anderson is a London-based communications professional with more than 20 years experience in healthcare and life science. His specialization includes global PR & communications, corporate communications, strategic marketing, advertising & branding. Richard has led product and corporate communications programs for pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients including Genzyme, Roche, Amgen, GlaxoSmithKline, Pfizer and UCB Pharma, in the UK, across Europe and globally. For six years, he managed the PR account of Agilent Technologies in Europe. A co-founder of Sciad Communications, Richard has also served as Managing Director of the healthcare practice at the Bell-Pottinger agency in London for five years. Previously, he founded and, for 15 years, ran De Facto, an international healthcare PR agency.
Gina Cella has worked in corporate communications and public affairs for over 25 years, managing public relations programs for Fortune 500 companies, biotechnology/pharmaceutical companies, physician practices and not-for-profit organizations. Gina has served as the spokesperson for several corporations and launched numerous products. For ten years, she served as executive director of corporate communications at Serono, Inc., the international biopharmaceutical company specializing in infertility and reproductive health, AIDS wasting/metabolism and multiple sclerosis. Mike is an award-winning web and print designer, with specialties in branding and integrated marketing. The founder of Boston’s Metropolis Design, he has worked with clients in industries ranging from tech, biotech and telecommunications to retail and nonprofit, in a wide range of styles.
Mike is currently an instructor at Northeastern University and has taught at Bentley University. Speaking engagements include The Boston Chamber of Commerce, the Mass Health Data Consortium, and The Enterprise Center. He holds a BFA in Graphic Design from Rochester Institute of Technology and has won numerous design awards. Michael serves on the Board of directors for SEMPO Boston, Newton Girls Softball, and is the President of the Angier After School Program Board.
He actively supports the entrepreneurial and startup community by participating as a mentor with MITX Up and OpenHub. He also runs Boston’s annual Extreme Website Makeover event which supports local startups and non-profit organizations. When not at work, Michael enjoys painting, brewing beer, and playing hockey.
Edna brings more than 20 years of experience in healthcare PR to the Harris Communication team. Linda is an accomplished writer and editor who served for many years as Director of the Cornell University News Office. She has also worked as a science writer and as a humanities editor for the Cornell University College of Arts and Sciences. She recently served as editor for the major MIT report entitled: Convergence: The Future of Health, and published her first novel, Niagara.

Elizabeth’s passion is to write about science and technology advances for a general audience. For more than 20 years she did just that at MIT where, among other positions, she was chief science writer for the MIT News Office. In addition to writing hundreds of press releases about everything from a robotic boat inspired by penguins to a new technique for monitoring the fetal heartbeat, she proactively shared the news with journalists from around the world. She also managed the MIT News Office’s planning for Nobel Prizes awarded to MIT faculty, putting those practices into place and writing press releases for five MIT winners.
Now a science writer and publicist, her client list includes BioBright (a startup creating tools for the smart laboratory of the future) Gecko Biomedical (a startup developing a novel surgical glue), the MIT Physics Department, and the Center for Regenerative Therapeutics at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Todd is a public relations professional with 20 years of experience and a deep focus in business-to-business technology in industries including telecommunications, engineering, publishing and science. Todd has served on boards of Boston’s Public Relations Society of America, the Publicity Club of New England, and the Social Media Club– and has taught at Boston University. Now based in Gainesville, Florida, he works with clients up and down the East Coast to help with marketing and communications strategy and execution.
As director for 20 years of Harvard University’s Office of News and Public Affairs, Joe was responsible for protecting and advancing Harvard’s global reputation through the efforts of the office. In that role, he directed all facets of university communications including print, photo, video, audio, digital, web, and emerging social media platforms.
