Team: Joe Wrinn
Joe brings an interest in all facets of the contemporary education landscape and is especially focused on the evolving funding and programming relationships between universities, local governments, and regional corporations in the US and abroad.
As director for 20 years of Harvard University’s Office of News and Public Affairs, Joe was responsible for protecting and advancing Harvard’s global reputation through the efforts of the office. In that role, he directed all facets of university communications including print, photo, video, audio, digital, web, and emerging social media platforms. He also served on task forces addressing the escalating costs of higher education and developing solutions to make administrative support more efficient in maintaining academic quality.
An honors graduate of Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications, he worked previously as a photojournalist for the New York Times and United Press International. He credits travel to 55 countries in furthering his education and gaining global perspective and context. He has been a guest lecturer at Harvard, Boston College, Northeastern University, Boston University, Emerson College, the Boston Bar Association, and the Harvard Management Company.
